Metal casting and a well equipped pipe shop integrated within the company premises
Thickness casting, hand or machine planing
All the metal pipes are preferabely manufactured in our workshop, from the casting of the alloys to the finishing. Scales and alloys are specially selected according to the acoustics of the church and the style of the instrument.
The alloy is enriched with other metals in infinitesimal quantities to improve the mechanical strength and physical stability of the pipe over time.
The in-house manufacture and restoration of metal pipework allows us to work as closely as possible to the demands of our voicers.
The metal of the reed resonators and pipe bodies is cast in the right thickness, planed by hand and thinned towards the top of the pipes.
The open pipes are cut to pitch and the stopped pipes have soldered caps (with domed caps) in order to ensure quality and stability of the tuning.
We also make the moulds and cores for our reeds, which allows us to make copies that are perfectly in keeping with original samples in the case of historic reconstruction.
After washing, the pipes are only handled with gloves, which ensures a perfect final finish. They can be varnished on request.
